Our Story
The Wisdom for Society Foundation was born out of the success of the Code Their Dreams project, led by CDG Group. This initiative brought significant changes to Thailand’s education sector by giving teachers, students, and the public opportunities to learn coding. The goal was to prepare Thailand’s workforce for the digital economy.
The Wisdom for Society Foundation was established with the intention to develop teachers, promote programming skills, and foster technological advancement to create new knowledge for educational institutions at all levels, from primary to higher education. This initiative stems from the six-year experience of the CDG group in implementing the Code Their Dreams project, which identified that the main obstacle to student learning in coding was the lack of readiness and teaching skills among teachers. Therefore, to enhance the potential of educational institutions, the foundation focuses on creating quality programming teachers. The foundation believes that teachers play a crucial role in fostering technological development and innovation necessary for advancing education and responding to the increasing global demand for coding professionals in the future. On average, each teacher can impart knowledge to around 250 students per year, and the majority of participating teachers have an average age of 30, indicating that they have about 30 years of service remaining. This means that each trained teacher can teach up to 300,000 students throughout their career.

Committed to developing and promoting the potential of Thai youth in technology and innovation development through support in education, research, human resource development, and collaboration with various sectors to generate new knowledge leading to sustainable development of Thailand and Thai society.
Vision
Aspiring to establish Thailand as a leader in technology and innovation development, while cultivating a workforce equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and capabilities to drive the nation’s economy and society towards a prosperous and sustainable digital era.
Code Their Dreams
Code Their Dreams partnered with institutions like Mahidol University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. Together, they developed curricula and conducted coding activities to make learning enjoyable and accessible for youth, ensuring they grasp coding fundamentals without feeling intimidated.
From 2016 to 2022, Code Their Dreams worked with 500 schools, trained 500 teachers, and helped over 5,000 students. More than 80% of participants applied their coding knowledge practically. These achievements showed the urgent need for capable educators to teach coding effectively. These achievements and firsthand project experiences underscore the pressing need for proficient educators to effectively impart coding knowledge to multiple generations of students. Thus, Code Their Dreams evolved from a yearly project into a continuous endeavor, aiming for sustainable development and long-lasting impact as the Wisdom for Society Foundation.
